1. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Academia Sánchez-Casal is a high performance training facility that combines tennis and education for students, with the
objective of shaping successful young people in diverse aspects of their lives. The Academia Sánchez-Casal has a Unique
Training System established by coaches with a worldwide reputation. Sánchez-Casal has developed elite players such
as Kuznetsova, Murray, Dimitrov, Hantuchova, Ivanovic, Mónaco, Bovina, among others.
The Summer Weekly Program combines High Performance Tennis Training, including technical exercises, tactical strategy
and competition, with Specific Physical Training. The Summer Weekly Program also includes daily Language Classes in
either Spanish or in English, given by native teachers from ES International School located inside the Sánchez-Casal facilities.
In addition, the program includes recreational activities inside and outside of the Sánchez-Casal campus, with the objective of
integrating student-athletes from different countries and make them feel at home.
The Summer Weekly Program is offered from June 26th until September 04th, 2016, and it is available in multiple oneweek
sessions. The Program includes 18 hours of tennis, 10 hours of physical training, 6 hours of language classes, daily activities
on campus, and 3 recreational activities off campus.
2. WEEKLY PROGRAM
Each Sunday at 6:00pm, tennis level tests take place in order to determine the levels and appropriate groups for each student.
There are 3 different timetables, according to age and level groups. All the timetables include:
Sunday: — Arrival day for all boarding and non-boarding students
— From 12:00pm to 4:00pm – Check-in at the Academy
— At 6:00pm – Tennis Level Test
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: — 4 hours of tennis daily
— 2 hours of physical training daily
— 1,5 hours of language classes daily
— Recreational activities
Wednesday: — 2 hours of tennis
— 2 hours of physical training
— External leisure/sport activity
Saturday: — 3 hours of competition
— Shopping Trip
Sunday: — Departure day
— External leisure activity: Port Aventura Amusement Park, Tibidabo Amusement
Park, Aquarium Barcelona, etc. (available for stays longer than one week).

* The Law of Sport “Llei de l’Esport 8/1999” of the Generalitat de Catalunya requires all clubs that organize any physical or sporting activities, to
obtain a federative license to all persons participating in them, which covers health care and individual civil liability. Mandatory payment once a
year.
4. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT METHODS
The registration of the program will be finalized by:
 Completing and sending the registration form, (that will be provided by the Admissions Department once availability is
confirmed) signed by the student or by the father, mother or legal tutor if the student is under 18 years old.
 Sending a copy of the passport or identity card of the student.
 Making the payment of a required one-week security deposit (regardless of the length of stay).
The registration process will not be finalized until all requirements from above are met. If the stay is longer than a week, payment
for the remaining balance has to be done a month prior to the beginning date of the program the student has registered for.
Payments can be made by credit card or by bank transfers. If payments are done by bank transfer, the bank commissions are to
be paid by the sender.
Completion of the registration implies the acceptance of the general conditions described herein, as well as the acceptance of the
Code of Internal Regulations of the Academia Sánchez-Casal.
5. TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
AIRPORT TRANSFER
The Academia Sánchez-Casal will pick up all students registered in the tennis program with accommodation and who notify us
with the flight information (Airline Company, flight number and time of arrival) with a minimum of 7 days prior to the arrival
date. Pick-ups and Drop-offs are only offered at the Barcelona Airport “El Prat” (not Girona or Reus). This service will only be
offered for flights landing no later than 6pm and taking off no earlier than 9am.
“UM” SUPPORT SERVICE
For those who have requested a “UM” (Unaccompanied Minor) service with their airline, the Academy also offers a support service
by having one of our staff members accompany the student at all times until he/she is picked up by the airline company and
taken to the gate. This service has a charge of 35€ each way. In order to request this service, the Academy has to be informed
that the student has a “UM” service booked with the airline company, as well as providing us with the flight information in
advance. The name of the person who will accompany the student will be provided by the Academy a few days before the arrival
or departure of the flight.
The student-athletes that are flying on their own, or not staying on campus, need to inform the Academy of their arrival time in
order to arrange their check-in.

8. GENERAL STANDARDS TO BE FOLLOWED BY ALL STUDENTS
During their stay at the Academy, students are expected to treat all persons with respect. The Academy makes available its
material and personnel resources for each student to be able to develop successfully, and each student is expected to display
honesty and hard work in every aspect of Academy life.
9. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
The check-in for the program in the Academy takes place on the arrival day (Sunday) between 12pm and 4pm. During the checkin
all the players receive a Welcome Pack, the Academy ID-card, the schedule and some information regarding the facilities and
the services that are included and provided during their stay. In case if the program is booked with boarding they also receive the
key to the room (leaving a deposit of 10€ that shall be returned during the check-out) and are accompanied to the corresponding
sleeping facilities. The players need to hand over their passports, return tickets and money for personal expenses during the
check-in.
The check-out for the players that are boarding is on Sunday latest by 9am. But they can certainly stay on site until the moment
of departure after having left their rooms by the determined hour.
For the players that do not stay on site the last day is Saturday. The program finishes at approx. 12pm.
10. MEDICAL INSURANCE
The registration to any program of the Academy includes Comprehensive Medical Care underwritten by Seguro Caja Salud Mapfre,
a leading insurance company in Spain. This policy covers the student against illnesses or injuries, and it has the best specialists
in the world. The specific coverage information is described in the contract signed with the insurer.
The Academy has on premises a physiotherapy area, with experienced staff in treating sports injuries, and works with the latest
technology available for treatment.
11. STUDENT BANK
Each student has a virtual account in the Academy, where parents or guardians may deposit money, either in cash, by bank
transfer or by credit card (deposits by credit card have a surcharge of 3% for amounts over 100 € and a surcharge of 3 € for
amounts less than 100 €). No other deposit method is allowed. The students may withdraw money from Monday to Friday
between 1pm and 2.30pm and Saturday between 1pm and 2pm through the Reception Department. The Academy also has an
ATM Machine on site.
12. LAUNDRY SERVICE
Laundry Service is available to those students staying on campus longer than one week. The students can obtain their laundry
bag from the Supervisors of the accommodation after paying a 10€ deposit fee which will be refunded once the laundry bag is
returned at the end of their stay.
The bags will be picked up and returned on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The bag with the dirty clothes will be returned
cleaned, dried and folded the next pick up / drop-off day.
It is recommended that the clothes be marked with the student’s name to prevent mix-ups.

12. TOURNAMENTS
During the summer period, the players have a possibility to play local tournaments at the Academy facilities or in other tennis
clubs in the area. For the participation in those tournaments, the players have to stay more than one week and it has to be
specified at the moment of registration.
14. INJURIES
The Academia Sánchez-Casal, through the Medical Insurance Policy taken out by the student, and the in-house physiotherapy
and Medical Care team, will treat players’ injuries through a personalized, comprehensive rehabilitation program. If the student
wishes to take a temporary leave of the Academy due to injury, no refund will be provided for the time of the absence.
15. CANCELLATION POLICY
If the cancellation is received prior to the start of the program and the full amount is already paid, the first week deposit will not
be refunded. However, the rest of the amount will be refunded or can be used at another period.
If the cancellation is received prior to the start of the program and the deposit amount is already paid, the deposit will not be
refunded.
If due to circumstances beyond the control, student must leave the Academy without having fully completed the program, the
Academy will determine if it provides a partial refund, in accordance with the following criteria:
 Refund of 75% of the period paid for and not completed.
 The amount corresponding to the first week of the program (the security deposit) will not be returned under any
circumstance.
 In no case, the portion corresponding to a week already started will be returned.
