Caneel Bay is home to seven of the top beaches in the Caribbean — one for each day of the week.
SCOTT: Stroll along Scott Beach and gaze at the turtles munching on sea grass. The gentle waters are ideal for bobbing lazily on a raft or float.
PARADISE: This cozy haven, nestled at the end of Cottage Point prior to Scott Beach, is the perfect place for enjoying a quiet day on the beach.
TURTLE BAY: Gaze down from Turtle Bay Estate House to the white crescent of beach below and watch as boats travel between St. Thomas and Tortola; an ideal spot for snorkeling.
CANEEL: The most popular beach on the resort, Caneel Beach offers active and adventurous guests the use of Sunfish sailboats, sea kayaks and paddle boards.
HAWKSNEST: The first beach to catch the sunrise becomes a quiet, shady sanctuary in the afternoon. The rocks at both ends of the beach offer excellent snorkeling.
LITTLE CANEEL: This tiny refuge is tucked away just west of the dock and is the perfect spot to watch the boats in the harbor while you unwind.
HONEYMOON: Take the roadway west from Little Caneel (about a ten-minute walk along a gravel track) to reach Honeymoon. The VI Ecotours Honeymoon Beach Hut offers equipment rentals as well as guided kayaking, hiking and snorkeling tours. You will also find a small store and Cannella’s Honeymoon Beach Hut, where you can order beverages, sandwiches and light snacks. Snorkeling is excellent along the reefs at each end of the beach. At the far end of Honeymoon Beach is the start of the Lind Trail, which offers a vigorous forty-minute hike into Cruz Bay. via www.caneelbay.com
