Astrocamping Astrocamping is a voluntary effort that aims to promote astronomy and naturalistic.It is organised by the Friends of Astronomy Club of East Macedonia every year during the month of July on mountain Ypsario of Thassos.It is hosted at the premises of the mountaineering club and supported by the generous sponsorship of businesses operating on the island and northern Greece. The daily program is designed to enlist the entire family. During the day offers many recreational activities, independent of astronomy, such as archery climbing and canoeing. At the same time it take place seminars and lectures on modern astronomical and environmental issues, the observational equipment, astrophotography. During the night the amateur astronomers are setting up their telescopes to make their own observations and photographs, and to allow attendees to taste through the telescope to observe the Moon, planets, star clusters, galaxies, double stars and nebulae of the summer sky.
