Connecting the Great Lawn to the beach, the Surf Shack is home to the Kainalu watersports program and our legendary watermen and women. Start the day here with sunrise yoga and fresh lemonade. Chase the horizon in a Hawaiian outrigger canoe, hone your standup paddle skills, or just hang out on the Surf Shack deck. The Kainalu team makes magic happen on water and land. Explore Mauna Lani’s natural wonders using this as base camp. Enjoy lawn games with a light lunch from the nearby food truck. Learn about the royal fishponds and sea turtles with Pi‘i, our resident marine biologist. At the day’s end, savor sweet ‘ukulele tunes and craft cocktails as the sun sinks into the Pacific.
