Welcome to our website and thank you for your visit.
We would like to inform you that our website has been renamed and from now on you may find us at www.fatamorgana-crete.gr. At the south coastline of beautiful Crete, within the heroic province of Sfakia, there lies Frangokastello which is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, its Castle which seems to be emerging from the sea but also the phenomenon-legend of the early morning ghosts-warriors: the “Drosoulites” (“Dew People”).
Our apartments are located here, facing all four points of the horizon: north with the Leuka Ori (White Mountains), east, west and south with verdurous olive groves and the unbounded Libyan Sea, built within our olive grove right next to the very beautiful beach “Orthi Ammos” (“Standing Sand”).
The beach “Orthi Ammos” (“Standing Sand”) is well known not only for its virgin beauty, its clear water, its size, its golden sand, the rare and impressive sand dunes who are among the largest of the Mediterranean Sea and constitute the best environment for “children’s” and not only toys, but also for the health rock (argil) which revitalize the skin.
In the summer, all our guests who learn to recognize the rock, cover their body with this natural peeling.
Our apartments in combination with the services we offer and the beauties of our region constitute an excellent mix for you to live in “Irini” (“Peace”) with tranquility, relaxation, rest, family serenity and in particular restore your contact with nature.
All our apartments offer a view of the sea, many of them offer a view of both the mountain and the sea and they also provide private parking space.

The surrounding area of our apartments consists of 10 acres overgrown with the blessed trees of "Irini" ("Peace"): the olive trees. The reception area will accomodate every need and give you any information. In the reception area you can borrow books or enrich our lending library with books you no longer need. Free wireless access to the internet. Ample parking for all our apartments. External showers for cooling down naturally. Free bicycles for a few hours use for shopping or riding. Room service every three days (cleaning - change of sheets and towels). All apartments which do not have a washing machine are served with the washing machines available for common use. Air conditioning is free for use up to 8 hours every 24 hours and is included in the price. For a small fee you can keep fit by playing tennis in the tennis court available near us. Pets are welcome with notification in advance. Check-in occurs at 14:00 unless there is a capability for an earlier time. Check-out occurs at 12:00 unless there is a capability for a later time. Right next to the apartments and among the olive trees, the playground with the swings, the slides, the seesaw and the sandpit is available to the children for endless hours of play. Right on top of the beach, a traditional tavern is operating with a limitless view of the beach and the sea, where you will find, apart from the usual dishes, dishes based on forgotten recipes of our grandmother, which are prepared with the most pure and local ingredients. Just like that, without luxury, without stress, with chatting and with the crystal clear water of the Libyan Sea on the background, you will be tempted not only to get away from the limitations recommended by dietitians but also to not resist the traditionally distilled tsikoudia (raki) of local produce.
